A screw driver and a crescent wrench. - My toilet tank leaks constantly into the toilet bowl, will installing a Magic Flush valve fix the problem?
Yes. Our Magic Flush valves are made of a special silicone to fit snugly on the flush valve, effectively sealing any prior leaks. - How do I know a Magic Flush valve will fit my toilet?
Magic Flush valves fit most standard toilets, American and Canadian. It will not fit one-piece, push-button, or side-handled toilets. Magic Flush will fit your new Ultra Low Flow toilets as well. - How do I determine the size of my toilet tank?
Multiply the width, length, and depth (in centimeters) of the standing water in the tank, which will give you the cubic measurement. Divide that amount by 1000 to find the total amount of water in litres. Tanks older than fifteen years generally measure between 18 and 24 litres. - Where can I buy a Magic Flush valve?
Presently, Magic Flush is only sold over the internet. - How much water will I save?
24 liter tanks: approximately 88 litres per day per person.
18-20 liter tanks: approximately 72 litres per day per person.
6 liter tanks: approximately 7 litres per day per person. - My tank has too much water pressure!
If water pressure to the tank is a problem, adjust the pressure at the water supply valve. If there is a problem with the fill valve, it may have to be replaced. Parts that are submerged for long lengths of time need to be replaced on a regular basis. - I need to increase the water volume to flush liquids.
It is important to mark the three lines before making adjustments. To increase the water volume for a liquid flush, rotate the plastic ball on the flapper assembly so that the larger hole is nearer the number 13. (See figure #14). The float can be moved up or down; move the float down to increase the water volume. It should not be necessary to move the float as it will be set at the manufacturers. - I need to increase the water volume to flush solids.
To increase the water volume to flush solids, move the ball stopper to a higher number for an increase in water volume. Rotate the plastic ball so that the larger hole is nearer the number 13. There must be some slack on the chain in order to release the ball when pushing the handle down. - Water is continually seeping into the bowl.
Check that the gray pivot collar is locked into the base of the overflow pipe so that the flapper is seated tight against the valve seat (for tilt valve toilets). It is important to clean the valve seat (the flapper sits on the valve seat) before installing a new flapper. - Sometimes when the toilet is flushed some toilet paper is left in the bowl.
We reccomend that you search the internet or your local retailers for a rapidly dissolving toilet paper.
